Team Silverfox is a two-man team consisting of Juho Savola and Harry Järn, who have a combined 106 years of experience, some of that as ultrarunners too. We are on a mission to show age is not an issue & it's never too late to start.
In 2025, our goal is to complete the Ultra Trail Tour Finland (UTTF) challenge, and we will be sharing our journey from training to the races, including the ups and downs of ultra trail running.
Team Silverfox is also seeking brand partners to join us in conquering this challenge.
Essential part of our journey is also to contribute to common good. For that we have partnered with Läpimurtosäätiö. More about the säätiö (foundation) and the cause below & in news section.

Läpimurtosäätiö is a new Finnish sports support foundation whose purpose is to enable promising young Finnish athletes to make an international breakthrough. In addition to elite sports, the foundation supports actors whose goal is to create equal opportunities for children to participate in physical activity in Finland, and thereby to make a breakthrough in their own lives.
Läpimurtosäätiö has two different grants: enabling breakthroughs for young top athletes with the Athlete Grant, and promoting equality in children's and youth's exercise with the Children and Youth Sports Grant.
The aim of the Children and Youth Sports Grant is to create equal opportunities for children and young people to participate in sports regardless of their background in Finland. For example, a project or operator that enables children and young people to have equal opportunities for physical activity can receive a grant.
Instructions on how to donate to the cause of children and youth sports can be easily made are below.

The idea of Team Silverfox was born on the finish line of NUTS Ylläs-Pallas 100 mile race, July 8 2023. Juho & Harry had just completed the race celebrating the achievement.
During the coming months, both of them started to think about their future as runners. Find challenges to feed the motivation to train & to get better. And even thoug
The idea of Team Silverfox was born on the finish line of NUTS Ylläs-Pallas 100 mile race, July 8 2023. Juho & Harry had just completed the race celebrating the achievement.
During the coming months, both of them started to think about their future as runners. Find challenges to feed the motivation to train & to get better. And even though both of them had said definitive NO to Karhunkierros 100 miler, for 2025 they decided to embark on the Ultra Trail Tour Finland challenge, where the very first race is exactly that Karhunkierros 100 miler.
And since the effort to push through the whole program for 2025 will require a substantial amount of sweat, tears, kilometres, pain & time, why not wrap this all around a good cause? Suffer for something meaningful!
Team Silverfox is all about the joy of running. While we run, we want to encourage & motivate people from all backgrounds and all ages to get started & see where their paths take them as runners. Running is not about the pace, the length of the run or racing. It's all about self discovery, journey and joy of going beyond our own limitations.
